The Rosendale Theatre is a 260-seat, single-screen movie and multi-performance-use theater. The Rosendale Theatre Collective assumed operation of the theater in 2010. The previous owners, the Cacchio family, bought the theater in 1949 and transformed the erstwhile firehouse and performance theater, the Rosendale Casino, into a 35-mm film theater. Now a digital cinema house, and still a historic Main Street anchor business, the Rosendale Theatre programs independent and mainstream films, including foreign, documentary, and local productions, and participates in the Woodstock Film Festival. We offer well-attended post-screening discussions and special events of community interest.
