Milwaukee Film
Milwaukee Film is a national leader among cultural arts and nonprofit organizations, using film year-round to inspire community, artistry, education, and joy. We seek to create world-class cinematic experiences to convene diverse communities and catalyze positive change in Milwaukee and beyond.
Founded in 2008 by Chris Abele and Bill & Carmen Haberman, Milwaukee Film produces the 15-day Milwaukee Film Festival, one of the country's largest annual regional film festivals. Our organization operates year-round to curate educational and community programming, serving audiences from all paths of life. We are the proprietors of one of the finest movie palaces in the world - the three-screen Oriental Theatre, which was named a National Historic Landmark in 2023.
