Founded by a group of local scientists in 2017, the Science Moab Engagement Initiative (Science Moab) aims to uplift, inspire, and empower the Colorado Plateau region by making science accessible to all. We envision regional communities thriving from a deeper engagement with science and place-based knowledge. To enact this vision, Science Moab provides public outreach programming through radio shows, newspaper features, and live events; science certification trainings for outdoor recreation and guide companies; and science mentorship opportunities for high-school students.
