County Theater
The three-screen County Theater is located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. It’s a nonprofit, community-based movie theater that screens independent, art, and foreign films. The County also offers a variety of special events including classic Hollywood films, local filmmaker screenings, and film discussions.
The County Theater opened in 1938 and thrived during the 40s, 50s, and 60s. The theater was reopened as a nonprofit in 1993. The County closed in 2020 for a major expansion project, which added a new third screen, an expanded lobby, and first floor restrooms. It reopened in June of 2021.
