Program Description
Before the film starts, Emily Falk, professor of Communication, Psychology, and Marketing at the University of Pennsylvania, will deliver a brief presentation on how advertising in mass media can change behaviors in consumers. Film Synopsis
A girl group find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy to deliver subliminal messages through popular music.
They're three small-time girls with big-time dreams. The comic-book rockers go live-action in this music-business parody. Josie (Rachael Leigh Cook) and her pussycats, Melody (Tara Reid) and Valerie (Rosario Dawson), think they've hit it big when they get a call from a record-company executive (Alan Cumming). But their claws come out when they discover they're shills in a plot to feed teens subliminal messages!
