In July 2024, the San Luis Obispo International FIlm Festival took over operations of theater under their non-profit, establishing the first non-profit film center in San Luis Obispo County with a long-term vision to continue to celebrate independent film within our community and preserve the Palm Theatre’s legacy within the community.
