The Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre is a proudly independent, nonprofit theater that aims to serve the entire community with quality programs found nowhere else in rural Moscow, Idaho. Situated at the intersection of all activity on vibrant Main Street, we provide a vital space for folks from all backgrounds to gather for quality cinematic entertainment, live arts, and fun. Over 600 visitors come out each week to enjoy movies in our single screen auditorium, which has been in continuous operation since 1926. The Kenworthy family gifted the cinema to the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, Inc. 501(c)(3) in December, 2000. The theater was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Our frequent collaborations with groups at neighboring universities (UI and WSU), local nonprofits, and theater troupes strengthen Moscow's regional claim as the “Heart of the Arts.”
