Art House Cinema opened in 2015 as a non-profit, single screen theater located in the heart
of downtown Billings, Montana. Our mission is “stirring great connections through great film,
art, and culture."

We provide films that are thought-provoking, educational, and artistically challenging, as well as entertaining, in an effort to connect people. We proudly present powerful documentaries, locally produced films, and independent and foreign films. Our 85-seat theater also offers a small concession area with a variety of wines, local beers and craft soda, popcorn, and candy.

A large, rotating volunteer base is critical and valuable to the operation, providing nightly assistance serving patrons and cleaning the theater. Art House Cinema has an eight-member board that is completely supportive of the theater through fiscal management,
operational guidance, membership development, and fundraising.

In 2018, Art House Cinema was awarded the management of the Historic Babcock Theatre. This beautiful 720-seat theater is a legacy in our city, and we are honored to have been able to renovate and reopen it as a movie palace. The Babcock is located just one block from Art House Cinema.

We enjoy serving Yellowstone County, as well as visitors to the Billings area. Public and private events are also part of what we do, renting and/or donating our spaces to many non-profit organizations to share their mission. We also open our theaters to private parties and are continuously booked for holiday parties, meetings, presentations, and the like. Our convenient locations allow us to participate in many city activities and are prime locations for visitors.
