Film Synopsis

The bilingual film tells the story of a falsely accused Cajun man on Louisiana's Death Row.

Cajun filmmaker Louis Leger and attorney Dolores Arceneaux join forces in the Cajun prairie community of Pointe Noire in an effort to save the life of Joel Richard, a falsely accused Cajun man on Louisiana's Death Row.

About the Speaker

Kennedi Jones, MS, LCGC is an Instructor in the Hayward Genetics Center at Tulane School of Medicine and a Licensed and Certified Pediatric and Adult Genetic Counselor who serves the diverse patient population of Children’s Hospital of New Orleans (CHNOLA) in New Orleans, LA. She completed her training at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions Genetic Counseling Program in May of 2023. She is currently in her second year of her career dedicating her time to establishing herself in her community, networking locally and nationally, and continuing education through professional genetics society’s annual conferences. Her passion is family education and advocacy. At this time, she is taking to time to hone her genetic counseling, teaching skills and building the genetics program at Tulane and CHNOLA before expanding her work outside of these systems.
