Film Synopsis

The Borg go back in time intent on preventing Earth's first contact with an alien species. Captain Picard and his crew pursue them to ensure that Zefram Cochrane makes his maiden flight reaching warp speed.

In the eighth feature film in the Star Trek franchise, the Borg have returned, in another attempt to conquer Earth. Disregarding orders, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and the new Enterprise-E rush to save the Federation homeworld, only to get sucked back in time with the Borg as they attempt to interfere with the course of humankind's evolution into a peaceful, unified race. Trapped in the mid-21st century, their only chance of stopping the Borg from assimilating Earth is to help Zefram Cochrane (James Cromwell) make his famous first faster-than-light travel to the stars.
