PoW: Living with dogs living with us

The Colonial Theatre's Michal Korsarts picks her favorite event from our archive.

The grantee pick-of-the-week for April 3, 2020, comes to us from four-time grantee The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Their choice: a 2018 presentation at the theater by best-selling author and canine cognition expert Alexandra Horowitz, who takes us inside the eyes, nose, and brain of humankind's best animal friend.

Part of the 2018 National Evening of Science on Screen, the sold-out event drew the largest audience of any SoS event anywhere in the country during the 2017-18 season. It was also a special preview screening of Wes Anderson's ISLE OF DOGS, which Colonial Theatre marketing and communication coordinator (and dog lover) Michal Korsarts says "ISLE OF DOGS really touches on the love we have for our pets and why they are so important to us and why it's a necessity to have them be part of our lives."

Check out Michal's recommendation video and Dr. Horowitz's presentation below, then enjoy your own screening of ISLE OF DOGS!
